Religious Education
At Woodlands we follow Sefton’s Agreed Syllabus for teaching Religious Education and throughout their primary education pupils will acquire knowledge about Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Judaism. Our aim is to prepare our children for a life in which they will have multi-cultural tolerance and an understanding of their own and other people’s religious beliefs and customs. Our teaching allows children to understand the personal and social consequences of belonging to a religion and encourages them to have a positive attitude and respect for different faiths. We strive to help children to appreciate the richness of a society of diverse religions thereby contributing towards the removal of radicalisation.
