Help learning at home.

Following our Parents' information evening, we have attached below the following documents to help when your child is completing their homework.

Reading

Reading is incredibly important and reading each day for a minimum of ten minutes helps your child's reading fluency so much.  Equally important is deepening your child's understanding and comprehension of a variety of texts.  To help out, we have attached a range of question ideas to ask when reading with your child.

Maths

In our maths, we use specific calculation strategies within school at the various different Key Stage levels, to avoid the "that is not how my teachers tells me to do it" conversations, we have attached our Lower Key Stage Two calculations strategies to help when completing maths homework.

Spelling

During out English lessons, we use no nonsense spelling strategies to help learn our spellings.  The children will be used to using these strategies and would be able to apply these at home.  Please find these strategies attached below.
