Summer Newsletter 9
Dear Parents & Carers
Over the past two and a half days our Year 6 children have had tremendous fun on their residential trip to PGL. The weather has been glorious and they have built rafts, swung on a giant swing and taken part in many activities, all under the watchful eye of Mr Williams, Miss Pickford, Miss Taylor and Mrs Hughes. I would like to say a big thank you to all staff who accompanied the children – it is such a responsibility taking children away overnight.
Earlier in the week children had their class photographs taken. Children arrived at school beautifully dressed and coiffured for the occasion. Our reception and nursery teachers had a few anxious moments ensuing the children stayed clean and tidy before they were called for their photograph.
Just a quick reminder that we have the first of our three sports days for the juniors on 7th July. It will start at 9.15am and should last for approximately an hour to an hour and a half.
Here are questions to help you find out about your child’s learning this week…

This week, our whole school attendance is 96.3%, which is much better than last week but still a little short of our 97% target. We only had 3 class which bettered 97% attendance: 3/4M (98%) 5D (97.3%) and 5/6P (98.8%).
Unfortunately, we only had 2 classes who had no late marks this week (5/6P & 6R). We’ve had 13 late marks across the whole school which again was better than last week. 9 late marks ‘before the register closed’ – that’s before 9.20am & 4 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
Have a lovely weekend.
