Summer Newsletter 8 [Friday 14th June]
Dear Parents & Carers
On Wednesday, Thursday & Friday of next week, our Y6 children will embark on their PGL adventure. They will be tackling a whole series of challenges & activities: trapeze, archery, camp fire, ‘passport around the world’, challenge course, puzzle park, giant swing & raft building. The weather forecast looks a wee bit ‘mixed’ but I’m sure they won’t let the odd shower or two spoil their enjoyment – especially since they’re all going to be soaked after raft building anyhow!
Here’s the latest ‘nudges’ to help you find out about your child’d learning…

This week, our whole school attendance is 94.8% - still well below our 97% target. We had one class with 100% attendance – congratulations to Red Class! We have only one other class equalling or bettering 97%: 5/6P (99.4%).
We had 2 classes who had no late marks this week: Red Class & 5/6P. We had 27 late marks across the whole school. 24 late mark were ‘before the register closed’ – that’s before 9.20am & 3 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
The annual class photographs are being taken next Tuesday (18 June) for children in nursery to Y6; please make sure you send your child in with a school jumper/sweatshirt or cardigan on the day.
It’s now only 10 days to the opening ceremony of Woodlands Olympic Sports Festival.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
