Summer Newsletter 1 [Friday 19th April]
Dear Parents & Carers
This week, we have been honoured to be part of the #kNOwkinifecrime campaign to raise money to buy bleed control kits in memory of Colin McGinty. 20 of our children were part of a relay between the Formby schools – we ran from school to St. Luke’s – the ‘baton’ was one of the bleed control kits. Today, all of our children, from nursery to Y6, are running & walking a mini-marathon – for some of them, a distance of 2.6 miles. The children are having a fabulous time; it was great to see them so happy & so eager. If you haven’t already, please donate to the campaign; follow the link below & donate to Team Members 5. ‘Formby Leaning in Partnership’. It’s great to see so many Woodlands families supporting this wonderful cause.

Good news, this week, our whole school attendance is 97.3% - beating our 97% target 😊. We had no classes with 100% attendance. We have 8 classes equalling or bettering 97%: Red Class (99.1%), Blue Class (99.1%), Green Class (98.6%), Yellow Class (97.3%), 3G (97.4%), 5D (97.8%), 5/6P (97.5%) & 6R (98.7%).
We only had 3 classes who had no late marks this week: Red Class, 3/4M & 5/6P. We had 42 late marks across the whole school. 42 late mark were ‘before the register closed’ – that’s before 9.20am & 0 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
