Spring Newsletter 9
Dear Parents & Carers
As you know, we have had a visit from Ofsted over the last 2 days; the inspection was led by Liz Kelly & we would like to thank her for the way she approached her visit. She was genuinely interested in our school, what she observed & what we had to say; she treated all the children & staff with respect. We felt the whole process was fair; we are very grateful to Liz for that.
We aren’t able to share the outcome of the inspection just yet but we will do so as soon as we are able. I can say that your children were a credit to both the school & their families – we are very proud of them. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the Ofsted Parent View survey
As you can imagine, things have been a wee bit hectic over the past couple of days so I’m afraid there are no ‘nudges’ this week – normal service will resume next Friday.
I do have a letter from our House Captains which they’ve asked me to share with you.
Dear Parents & Carers
We are writing to inform you that on Friday 18th March we will be celebrating Red Nose Day. All the money raised will go to help Comic Relief to support charities across the UK & further afield.
This year we will be hold a non-uniform day. All we request is that you send your child in wearing their own clothes & that they bring £1 (or £2 per family).
Also, if you want to, you could remind your child of a ‘good’ joke as we will be holding a joke ‘competition’ in each class, e.g.
Why did the golfer wear 2 pairs of pants?
In case he got a hole in one!
The best comedian in each class will get to share their joke in front of the whole school in Star of the Week assembly. If your child does not want to tell a joke, that is absolutely fine.
From Monday, we will also be selling Comic Relief Red Noses in each class (from nursery to Y6). There will be enough for everyone. The red noses cost £1.50 each. After 3 days, the remaining red noses will be sold in the junior & infant halls at morning break – this means that everyone will have 3 days to buy a red nose if they wish.
The red noses are completely plastic free.
Thank you for your support,
The House Captains
Adam, Ella, Emma, George, Laura, Lotte, Seb & Thomas
Have a great weekend - I’m off for a lie down in a darkened room.

Last word
I thought there was one biscuit left in the tin
but it turned out to be a figroll of my imagination.
