Spring Newsletter 10
Dear Parents & Carers
After the excitement of last week, with our visit from Ofsted, it’s been nice to get back to some sort of normality.
The children had a great day today supporting Comic Relief. They looked good in their Red Noses; thank you to everyone who bought one & sent in a donation for non-uniform day. This year’s theme is Funny is Power & throughout the day, there was great hilarity in all our classes as the children listened to each other’s jokes. Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing the best(?!) of these at the end of my Friday newsletters in the Last word section. We raised £843 – thank you.
Next Friday (25th March) its FOWSA’s Easter Fair (3.30-5.00pm).
It’s their first face to face event for a long while. I hope you can support the wonderful people of FOWSA in raising much-needed funds for the school. For the privilege of wearing their own clothes on the day, your children have been asked to bring in the following items:
Nursery, Red & Blue classes: packet of sweets or chocolate
Green, Purple & Yellow classes: packet of sweets or chocolate
3G, 3/4M & 4C: small Easter egg
5D, 5/6P & 6R: a bottle – squash, aftershave, bubble bath etc. so long as it is in a bottle & unopened.
Here’s this week’s conversation starters…

This week our attendance is 92.2% - not where we want to be (97%). Unfortunately, no classes achieved 97% or above this week.
We had 3 classes who had no late marks this week: Red Class, Yellow Class, & 5D. It’s been a reasonable week for punctuality: just 13 late marks across the whole school. 8 late marks ‘before the register closed’ – that’s before 9.20am & 5 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
Reminder: we are holding a SATs information evening for Y6 parents next week on Thursday 24th March at 5pm.
Enjoy the weekend.

Last word
My partner just left me because they think I’m obsessed with football.
I’m a bit gutted about it – we’d been together for 3 seasons…
