Spring Newsletter 1

Dear Parents & Carers

I’m sure you’ll be happy to see that this is a short newsletter to begin 2022.

It was lovely to see all the children again after the Christmas break – they positively bounced into school, eager to see their friends & to find out what they’ll be learning this term.

If you’d like to find out what topics your children will be learning about this half term, please check out the class pages on the school website (link below). You’ll find the topics & what knowledge objectives the children will be looking at. Nursery & reception classes’ topic information is posted on their class pages each week.

If you would like a longer-term view of the curriculum, please visit the ‘Curriculum’ page of our website (under the ‘Key Information’ tab). Here (link below), you’ll find each subject studied; if you click on an individual subject & then scroll down to the ‘overview’ documents, you’ll find the topics & when they’re taught. The children are studying topics from ‘Cycle B’ this academic year.

We’ve only been in for 2 days but I still want to keep you up to date with our attendance. No classes achieved 100% in their attendance this week. Our overall attendance has fallen to 88.6%. There are a lot of pupils absent through testing positive for covid-19. Well done to Blue Class, the only class to have an attendance above 97% (97.6%).

Enjoy the weekend.
