Masks: latest guidance from the DfE
Dear Parents & Carers
Following the latest government advice, published in the Department for Education’s Schools COVID-19 operational guidance, we are asking staff & visitors to wear masks when they are in the school building.
In primary schools, we recommend that face coverings should be worn by staff and adults (including visitors) when moving around in corridors and communal areas. Health advice continues to be that children in primary schools should not be asked to wear face coverings.
Face coverings do not need to be worn when outdoors
So, from today, 30th November, we request that parents & carers wear masks (unless they are exempt) if they enter the school building for any reason, e.g. visiting the school office, meeting teachers, etc.
I have asked staff to wear a mask if they are talking to parents at the classroom door.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
