Exciting news from our Chair of Governors!
Dear Parents & Carers
After an extremely comprehensive interview process, I am thrilled to announce that we have appointed a new Headteacher for Woodlands Primary School, effective from September 2024.
Mrs. Nel will be joining us from an outstanding school in Sefton, where she currently holds the position of Deputy Headteacher and SENCO. She has over 26 years of teaching experience across every key stage as well as extensive leadership and management experience.
Mrs. Nel impressed us throughout the interview process with her extensive knowledge, capability, professionalism and warmth. Governors, staff and pupils all felt that she would be a great fit for the amazing team here and would, in the pupils' own words, "allow the children to open up" and "do things to help us". Her passion for creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment shone through, as did her genuine, open approach and her commitment to the wellbeing of staff and pupils. We are confident that Mrs. Nel will continue to uphold the highest standards of pupil and staff welfare whilst leading the school to an even brighter future.
Mrs. Nel asked us to let you know that she is really excited to come to Woodlands and she is looking forward to meeting everyone.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. J. Mangan
Chair of Woodland’s Governing Body
