Dear Y6 pre-SATs homework...
Dear Year 6
We are approaching the last couple of days before SATs. It is vital that you use your time this weekend wisely. Below is a list of the homework tasks the Y6 staff & I feel you should tackle before Monday. Please complete as many of the activities as possible.
With permission from your parents or carers:
- go on a bike or scooter ride;
- read a good book;
- stream your favourite show;
- smile;
- rest;
- eat chocolate or ice cream;
- listen to music;
- go for a walk on the beach & see how many different shells you can collect (remember to wash your hands afterwards - the Irish Sea / Liverpool Bay is full of unmentionable things…);
- laugh until you cry;
- spend time with people you love;
- spend time outside – even if it’s raining;
- if you support Liverpool, write a ‘Thank You’ letter/card to Jürgen Klopp;
- spend time doing your favourite hobby;
- if you support Everton, write a ‘Thank You’ letter/card to Sean Dyche;
- enjoy the weather – even if it’s raining;
- if you support Liverpool or Everton, write a thank you letter/card to Erik ten Hag;
- go for a swim;
- go for a walk in the pinewoods & see how many red squirrels you can count;
- spend time with friends (face to face, not just on screen);
- run until you can’t run any further;
- singalong with Eurovision on Saturday night (altogether now, “Rim tim tagi dim”);
- play in your garden, a friend’s garden or in the park;
- go for a walk in the dunes & see if you can spot any sand lizards or northern dune tiger beetles;
- eat more chocolate or ice cream;
- relax
Of course, if you want to remind yourself how to do long division, divide fractions or what the passive voice is (or whatever else), feel free to revise – just don’t overdo it. An hour or so each day would be plenty.
Remember, there is no need to worry, Mrs Rimmer, Miss Rathe & Mrs Hughes are in charge of worrying, so you don’t need to.
Have a great weekend & come into school on Monday morning ready to do your very best - that’s all we can ask - that’s all we want you to do. Don’t forget, Holly’s serving toast each morning in the junior hall (Monday – Thursday) from 08:30.
See you all on Monday
