Autumn Newsletter 9 [Friday 11th November]
Dear Parents & Carers
The children commemorated Remembrance Day by respectfully observing 2 minutes silence at 11am this morning.
Next Friday (18th November), it’s BBC Children in Need. As you are aware, our House Captains chose the theme: Rock ‘Til You Drop! The House Captains sent home the following message:
We kindly ask that you send your child to school dressed as a Rock Star. They could come as a famous rock or pop star, for example, Lady Gaga, John Lennon, Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Kurt Cobain, Ariana Grande, Angus Young, Elton John, Amy Winehouse – even Ziggy Stardust! Maybe your child will want to come dressed as their Times Tables Rock Stars avatar, a rock star from their imagination or even simply put on some shades & a leather jacket to make them look as cool as ice.
The children have also been told they can wear make-up, temporary tattoos, temporary hair-dye & jewellery just for this one day. No football shirts or crop tops. Thank you.
Here’s this week’s ‘nudges’ to help you find out about your children’s learning:

This week, our whole school attendance is slightly up on last week at 96.1%. We had no classes with 100% attendance this week & 4 classes exceeding our 97% target: Purple Class (99.3%), 3G (99.3%), 5/6P (98.7%) & 6R (97.2%).
We only had 3 classes who had no late marks this week: Blue Class, 3/4M & 5/6P. We had 34 late marks across the whole school. 26 late marks were ‘before the register closed’ (that’s before 9.20am) & 8 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
Have a good weekend.

Last word
I had a bad dream last night. I dreamt I was knitting in a fridge.
I woke up in a cold sweater.
