Autumn Newsletter 5
Dear Parents & Carers
Thank you to everyone who made our Harvest Festival appeal such a success. It was wonderful to see so many items donated to such a wonderful cause: the people from Southport Foodbank will be picking up the donations shortly. Hopefully, our House Captains will be able to visit the foodbank after October half term, to see how everything is processed & how the items are distributed to families in need of support. Yesterday, the Rev. Dr. Matt Davis led a highly entertaining assembly to give our children a Christian perspective of Harvest Festival. Matt involved the children throughout & hopefully they were able to reflect on the importance of harvest. Still no classes achieved 100% in their attendance this week & our overall attendance has slipped to 95.5%. Ideally, we would want our attendance to be well above 97% each week. A small round of applause for Green Class (99.2%), Yellow Class (99.3%) & 3/4M (99.0%).
We only had 3 classes who had no late marks this week: Green Class, Yellow Class & 3/4M. There were 12 late marks across the whole school.
Our reception Open Mornings on Tuesday 5th October & Thursday 7th October are now fully booked. If you, or a family that you know, couldn’t make the open mornings, a school tour can be booked through the school office 01704 876444 or email [email protected]
Next week we will be taking part in #HelloYellow, an event organised by YoungMinds – details of how your children can participate will be sent home on Monday.
We are still waiting for the CO2 monitors to be delivered.
I hope you & your family have a lovely weekend & manage to avoid the downpours.
