Autumn Newsletter 10 [Friday 18th November]
Dear Parents & Carers
Thank you so much for the time & effort you (or other family members) put in to assemble the children’s outfits for BBC CIN Rock ‘Til You Drop! The children looked great! Rock & pop stars from across the decades descended on Woodlands today. Plenty of rockers turned up, including Axl Rose & Slash from Gun n Roses, Gene Simmons from Kiss & we even had AC/DC’s Angus Young! There were lots of pop stars & divas too – I spotted a lone Ed Sheeran, a gaggle of Ariana Grandes & I’m sure Amy Winehouse put in a special guest appearance. Kurt Cobain was hanging out with Elton John & Madonna on the junior playground... Thank you for all your donations to this wonderful charity that supports children across the UK. There some photos below & check out the class blogs for more images too.
Here are the ‘nudges’ to help you find out about your child’s learning this week [I had to consult Google (other search engines are available) to find out the answer for Y3&4’s & Y5&6’s question]:

This week, our whole school attendance is not good: 94.1%. We had no classes with 100% attendance this week & only one class exceeding our 97% target: Yellow Class (97.2%).
We only had 3 classes who had no late marks this week: Class 3/4M, 4T & 5/6P. We had 45 late marks across the whole school. 33 late marks were ‘before the register closed’ (that’s before 9.20am) & 12 late marks ‘after the register has closed’, that’s after 9.20am.
Have a good weekend.

Last word
During the war my grandad swapped his company’s rifles for trifles.
He was court-martialled for desserting.
