Week commencing 21st November 2022

Date: 24th Nov 2022 @ 4:27pm

This week we have enjoyed doing our Squiggle while you wiggle. First, we made lots of circles using our flipper flappers. We made big circles, making sure that we bent our knees to get down low and then stretched up high. We also made small circles and moved to the left and to the right. Next, we transferred our skills to mark making on paper. We lay on the floor to build up our upper body strength and our coordination in order to prepare us for writing.

At home – show your family some of our Squiggle while you wiggle moves. Perhaps you could make your own flipper flappers and move to your favourite song!

We have been reading the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We took part in some collaborative art work, painting pictures of the characters in the story.

At home – have you got a favourite story? Perhaps you could draw a picture of some of the characters in it.

During our outdoor learning session we explored the different textures that we could find in our environment. While exploring our copse area, we found lots of interesting things to touch. We described how they felt using words such as rough, bumpy, smooth, sticky, wet, soggy, prickly and spiky.

At home - Have a look around you. What different textures can you find? Can you describe what they feel like?
