Week commencing

Date: 6th Oct 2022 @ 1:44pm

This week in forest school we looked around the copse for signs of Autumn. The children collected items to take back to Nursery to put in our Autumn tray so we can investigate them further.

At home - Go on an autumn walk with a grown-up and collect some autumn leaves. What colours are the leaves you found? Can you use these leaves to make a picture or collage?

This week we have been learning about different types of houses and talking about our own homes. We learnt some new words to describe our homes, such as flat, terraced, semi-detached and detached. The children had a go at making pictures of their houses using match sticks or paint.

At home – What kind of home do you live in? Can you describe your home to your grown up?

The children have been using the construction toys to build houses. As we built we talked about all the different parts of a house such as the walls, roof, windows and doors and thought of different ways we could use the materials available to make them.

At home – How many windows does your home have? Can your grown up help you count them?
