Week beginning 27th February

Date: 23rd Feb 2023 @ 4:41pm

This week we are writing descriptions about people who help us. We will be focusing on writing in full sentences. We will be reading non-fiction books to help us find out about what they wear, what their roles are, how they help people and what equipment they use.

We have been talking about road sefety and how we cross carefully. Why not visit the village and look at different safe places that you can cross? Can you find a zebra crossing?

In mathematics we will be looking at the length of objects. We will be using non-standard units to measure like blocks, paper clips and footsteps.

What interesting ways can you find to measure different things in your home?

In our creative area we will be asking the children to paint, construct and make different models and pictures of emergency vehicles. We will be using a range of materials and techniques.

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. We read stories, decorated plates and shared reading with children from Year 4. We also had a book swap.
