Week beginning 27th February 2023

Date: 23rd Feb 2023 @ 4:22pm

In maths this week we will be exploring size. We will use the language of taller than, shorter than, wide and narrow. We will sort and order a selection of items according to their size.

We made enclosures for the animals. We had to make sure that they were big enough for the animals to fit inside.

At home – Can you order some of your toys by size? Perhaps you could play Dear Zoo and find different sized containers that your toys could fit in.

We will continue to read the story ‘Dear Zoo.' This week we will be focusing on adjectives which describe each of the animals.

At home – Think of some words that would describe your pet or your favourite animal. You could play a guessing game and describe your animal using some different words. Can your grown up guess which animal you are describing?

During our outdoor learning session, we looked for signs of spring. We saw daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses and some buds growing on the trees.

At home – can you spot any signs of spring?

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. We decorated plates showing our favourite stories. We also held a book swap. It was very exciting finding out which new story we would take home.
