Science - dissecting apples

Date: 20th May 2024 @ 5:49pm

This afternoon we were learning about how and why some plants clothe their seeds with fruits. First, we dissected some apples and identified the various different parts that we could see - stem, skin, calyx, flesh, core and seeds. Then, we talked about how the fruits protect the seeds during seed dispersal and how this happens. We also discussed the very different ways that seed dispersal can happen.
