Reception- Week beginning 29th April

Date: 26th Apr 2024 @ 8:47am

Fee Fi Fo Fum!

This week we will be reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We will be talking about traditional features of fairy tales, characters and setting. We will be retelling the story and drawing a story map to indictae the main points in the story. We will be starting to look at good/bad characters in traditional tales and make connections with other books that we have read.

You could continue to read and listen to as many traditional tales as you can at home.

In mathematics we are contuing to develop and deepen our knowledge of the numbers 11-20. We will be building on 10 using cubes and Numicon.

At home you could continue to sing couting songs and count things around your house up to 20.

We have loved making bean talks using different materials and cutting out a castle for the giant.
