Reception-Week beginning 26th February

This week we will be looking at how the fire service help us. We are very excited as we are expecting a visit from our local fire station and they will be bringing their fire engine onto our school premises for us to look at. We are thinking about what we would like to find out and will be asking them lots of questions.

Talk to your child about what they may like to ask the fire fighters.

We will be learning about time in mathematics. This will involve days of the week and growing up.

Talk to your child and look at pictures of how they have grown up over the past 4 or 5 years.

We will be linking our learning to history. This will involve us looking at pictures of past and present fire engines. We will be talking about how they have changed and devel;oped over time. They will be able to see this when the fire engine visits school.
