Reception- Week beginning 25th September

This week we will be reading 'Superkid' by Claire Freeman and Sarah Mcintyre. We will be talking about our likes and dislikes. We will be making choices and explaining our reasons. 

You could talk at home about what you like doing and dislike doing.

We will be making our own superhero masks and capes. We are thinking about our choices of colour and texture. We will be making collages and using paint to mix and make new colours.

In mathematics we will be sorting different objects and comparing amounts. We will be looking at sorting into sets and groups. We will be looking at how we sort things in our classrooms in the areas of provision. 

You could look at the different ways you sort things at home like your clothes, kitchen utensils, toys and food.

On Friday we had a great time looking at images of our local area and the buildings in Formby. We lloked at how we could make the building using different construction materials. We were all really engaged and worked together in small groups and teams.
