Reception- Week beginning 15th January

Date: 10th Jan 2024 @ 5:45pm

This week we are continuing to read 'While The World is Sleeping'. We will be drawing story maps to retell the story and identify all the nocturnal animals. We will be wriitng captions to retell the story and focus on using the set 1 sounds that we are becoming really confident with. We will be developing our language skills by using 'Talk partners' to discuss what we know and explain why animals are nocturnal. We have been developing our listening skills by identifying animal sounds like those of bats, owls, badgers and foxes. We have played 'Guess the animal sound' using online listening games.

You could go on an evening walk and see if you can hear any owls, bats or foxes in your neighbourhood.
