Nursery Week Beginning 7th October 2024

Date: 3rd Oct 2024 @ 3:41pm

This week, we are reading our whole school book 'Quiet' by Tom Percival and Richard Jones. We will begin by making predictions about the story and discussing both the characters and the setting of the story.

As part of our learning about the birds in the story and autumn, we talked about the changing seasons and feeding the birds. We made our own bird feeders threading cheerios onto pipe cleaners. During our outdoor learning session, we found suitable places to hang them.

In maths, we are going to look at repeating patterns. We will identify and then copy and continue the AB patttern using loose parts and natural materials.

At home - Can you use some toys or objects around your home to make a repeating pattern? Ask your grown up to make a pattern and see if you can copy it.
