Nursery Week Beginning 29th April 2024

Date: 25th Apr 2024 @ 4:41pm

This week we are reading the story 'Matisse's Magical Trail' by Tim Hopgood and Sam Boughton. We will look carefully at snails, thinking about where they are found and how they move. We will also look at the spiral patterns on their shells and create some spirals of our own.

At home -  Can you find any snails? Where did you find them? Where do you think snails like to live?

During our outdoor learning session, we found some minibeasts. We were very careful as we looked at them and made sure that we didn't remove them from their habitat.

We looked carefully at the spiral patterns on the snails' shells. We practised the anti-clockwise movement and we made some spirals of our own.

In maths, we are going to continue looking at shape and use some common 2D shapes to make our own minibeast pictures.
