Nursery Week Beginning 26th June 2023

Date: 21st Jun 2023 @ 5:08pm

We are continuing to read the story 'Milton's Suitcase Adventure' by Diane Dsitefano and talking about what Milton did while on holiday and what he saw there. We will be drawing and annotating our own pictures about the story.

At home - Can you talk about a holiday or a day out that you remember? What did you do? What did you see?

In maths this week we will be weighing a selection of classroom objects using balance scales and comparing which are heavier and which are lighter. We will make predictions about which we think will be heavier and which we think will be lighter and we will use the language 'heavier than' and 'lighter than'.

At home - Compare the weight of some objects in your house. If you don't have balance scales you could simply hold an object in each hand. Which feels heavier? Which feels lighter?

We made our own sun catchers. They look fabulous hanging in our nursery when the sun shines through them.

Earlier in the year we planted potatoes. Now they are ready. We can't wait to taste them!
