Nursery Week Beginning 22nd May 2023

Date: 18th May 2023 @ 3:47pm

This week we will be finishing off our topic about farms by thinking about where our food comes from. We will be discussing the different food groups and sorting the food in our farm shop according to whether it is a fruit, a vegetable or dairy product.

After reading the story 'Rosie's Walk' by Pat Hutchins we are going to draw maps of the walk that Rosie went on, including some of the things that she saw in the farmyard.

At home - Perhaps you could draw a map of a walk that you have been on? What did you see? What will you include on your map?

This week we made our own butter. We shook the cream and it became thicker and thicker. We poured away the buttercream and the butter was left. We had it on crackers for our snack. It was yummy!

At home - Can you tell your family how we made the butter? You could try baking a tasty treat at home with your family.
