Nursery Week Beginning 22nd January 2024

Date: 18th Jan 2024 @ 12:25pm

This week we are continuing to read the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears.' We are going to make up our own versions of the story changing some of the elements in it. Once we have made up our own stories, we will act them out with our friends.

At home - Can you make up your own version of your favourite story? You could change some of the elements in it such as where it is set or some of the characters in it.

In the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Goldilocks couldn't resist eating the bears' porridge. We made some porridge for our morning snack. It was yummy!

We are going to be investigating circles this week. We will look at a piece of work by Kandinsky 'Squares with Concentric Circles.' As part of our investigations we will practise drawing circles using the anticlockwise movement and we will make our own versions of the Kandinsky artwork using chalks and loose parts.

At home - Make your own piece of artwork. You could draw, paint, chalk or use collage. What shapes will you use?

On Monday the British transport police came to talk to us about staying safe near the railway line and at the station.
