Nursery Week Beginning 18th November 2024

Date: 14th Nov 2024 @ 3:31pm

This week, we are going to think very carefully about the story of Little Red Riding Hood and we are going to retell it by drawing our own story maps. We will have to think about where the story is set, who the characters are and what happens at the beginning, the middle and the end of the story.

At home - Can you retell the story of Little Red Riding Hood to your grown ups?

In maths, we are going to compare the length of some different objects. We will focus on the language 'longer than' and 'shorter than' and we will order some objects according to their length.

We pulled out the worms from the sand, compared their length and put them in order from shortest to longest.

We had lots of fun in the snow this week. We explored the patterns that our footprints made aswell as looking at and investigating the texture and feel of the snow. We worked together to make some fantastic snowmen!

On a frosty morning, we explored the frozen water tray. We talked about what it looked and felt like and we thought of some words to describe it.
