Nursery Week Beginning 16th October 2023

Date: 12th Oct 2023 @ 4:42pm

This week we are going to be retelling the story 'Hairy Maclary' by Lynley Dodd. We know this story really well now and love to tell it it to our friends. We will be thinking about all the different characters in the story and we will talk about what new adventures they may have!

At home - Have you got a favourite story? Can you retell it to someone in your family?

In maths, we are going to continue to look at and recreate simple AB patterns. To help us, we are going to use some natural objects (such as pine cones, conkers and leaves)  from our autumn table.

At home - Can you spot any patterns around you? Perhaps you could find some natural objects and make your own pattern.

During our outdoor learning session, we looked for signs of autumn and we collected some autumn treasures to take back to Nursery.

We used the items that we found to make our own autumn crowns. We think they look fantastic!

We have been using the P.E equipment to travel in different ways. We thought about how we could travel on, under and over the different pieces of equipment.

At home - Can you think of different ways of moving?
