Nursery Week Beginning 15th January 2024

This week we are starting our new theme - Once Upon A Time. We will read a selection of traditional tales beginning with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. 

We will talk about the setting and the characters within the story.

At home - Can you talk about Goldilocks and what she does when she goes to The Three Bears' house?

We retold the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears using pictures.

 We enjoyed drawing some of the characters in the story.

In maths, we will use the language of size when discussing the three bears and comparing the items in the story.

We are also practising our counting and subitising skills and we are matching quantities to numerals. 

We used a variety of tools to try and free the polar animals from the ice. We tried to break the ice and we poured water on the ice to melt it. The ice felt very cold and slippery!
