Nursery Week Beginning 15th April 2024

Date: 27th Mar 2024 @ 3:32pm

This week, we will be starting our new theme 'Creepy Crawlies', where we will learn about a variety of minibeasts. We will begin by reading the book ' Twist and Hop, Minibeast Bop!' by Tony Mitton and Guy Parker-Rees.

We will think about the different places where different minibeasts are found and what they need.

We have been busy creating our own minibeasts. We made some beautiful butterflies by painting one wing and then folding the paper to create the other wing. We used paper plates to make our own buzzy bees.

At home  - Perhaps you could go on a walk or take a look around your garden. Can you find any minibeasts? Where did you find them?

In maths, we are going to explore some 2D shapes. We will name and investigate the properties of some common 2D shapes.

At home - Can you spot any 2D shapes around you? Can you name them and describe what they are like?

On Friday, we had great fun taking part in our mini marathon. We ran twice around our school running track.
