Nursery Week Beginning 11th March 2024

Date: 6th Mar 2024 @ 1:06pm

This week we are going to read a new story 'Baby Goes to Market' by Atinuke. This is a story set in a southwest Nigerian marketplace.

We will explore the different characters and talk about what is happening at different points in the story. We will also visit our own market stall in nursery and use pennies to buy some fruit and vegetables.

At home - You could go shopping with your family. Perhaps you could help write the shopping list. What will you buy?

We will also play some memory games involving what baby bought when he went to market.

In maths, we will continue exploring numbers within 5. We will match quantities to numerals and practise finding 5 around our environment. We will place quantities within 5 onto a 5 frame, noticing how many spaces are filled and how many spaces are empty.

After noticing some daffodils on our spring walk last week, we looked very carefully at some in our nursery and then painted our own.

On Friday, we came to school with crazy hair to raise money for Comic Relief. We think we look fantastic!
