We continued with our journey through the orchestra today by looking at the cello. We listened to cello and piano playing 'Elephant' from Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens and talked about the pitch and tone of the cello compared to the violin and viola that we have already studied. After this, we learned a new song (Old Mr Woodpecker) and played a game following both its rhythm and beat. We all had a chance to sing and also to play the claves or the wood block.
